Avoiding Problems
It’s a cross between procrastination and pure ignorance. It stresses me out, so I don’t want to deal with it. Yet until I don’t deal with it it will keep haunting me. I hate this kind of situation. Still looking for a good time to strengthen my resolve and conclude this matter once and for all.

Dead Tired
First week in UTM is killing me I tell you. I cant wait for classes to finally start. How is everyone reacting to the iPhone? Not the great Apple claimed it was is it?

Truenuff.com - More Mac Ad Spoofs
The Mac ads were funny. One sided and offensive, cos they're portraying PC users as idiots, but funny. Wait, come to think of it it's the other way round. Competent people build they're own computers. Idiots buy iMacs and Mac Minis (laptops are a different story). But anyway, the ads gave birth to a bunch of copycats, many of which were funny-er. The rest was just shiiiit.
In comes truenuff. The Mac Spoofs are friggin hilarious if you know what they are talking about. Some are friggin hilarious regardless. Yes, I know there are so many Mac ad spoofs that you kinda get sick of watching them and the humor seems to disappear, but these are funny just like that MacOrPC rap vid.
Apple is... retarded? Waging war on PCs? Now, first of all this means they are waging war on Windows and all other operating systems that run on standard hardware. Smart move Apple. Looks like you have amnesia too. Microsoft saved your ass way back in the day. Then of course they're waging war on all PC vendors and harware manufacturers. IBM, Dell, HP, Fujitsu, Sony, Toshiba, AMD and the list goes on. Think you're so strong eh Apple?
As an avid fan of Apple, a few things have led me to dislike Apple in a way. The excessive iPhone buzz, long keynotes and products that don't live up to their expectations. And fucking slot-loading drives that don't work and cost me my life savings to replace. Other than that, I still like Apple. Sony, I'm sorry but ur stuff just isn't as chic/cool.
But seriously, the computer war is stupid. Adidas and Nike don't have these fights. Stop embarrassing urself Apple. Get a (i)Life.

Busy Week
I'm a bit busy this week so not a lot of new content will be posted. Even if there is any, it won't be of much significance.
One thing worth noting though is that I have now entered the world of RPM based linux distros, namely Fedora and OpenSUSE, and hopefully Mandriva very soon.
I like OpenSUSE a lot, but I have to say that I am very biased towards Debian based distros because of the simplicity of the apt package management tool. To me, the defining factor of a distro is the package management because everything else is pretty much the same.
And from what I've heard about the upcoming Ubuntu Gutsy(compiz fusion, hotplug monitors), it looks like I'll be back to Debian distros pretty soon.

An Unexpected twist
Looks like my dad is now giving me his full support in me doing computer science. After talking to some of his friends who will be my lecturer he now sees the glorious career prospects of security experts.
Well, if he's happy then I am happy too.
